Kettlestone near Red River Gorge

Kettlestone is a comfortable ground-floor apartment set on a peaceful 20-acre farm, surrounded by wooded hills, fenced pasture, lawns, gardens, and even a volleyball court. You’ll feel tucked into nature, yet you’re just a couple of miles from the conveniences of Stanton and only 12 minutes from the Red River Gorge.

Outdoor living is a highlight here. A screened-in porch, outdoor dining area, picnic table, and a full-length deck provide plenty of space to relax, watch birds, and take in both sunrise and sunset. It’s an easy place to slow down and enjoy the rhythm of the land around you.

Kettlestone features two large, covered porches. The front porch stretches 30 feet and includes gates on both ends, making it a great outdoor space for guests traveling with pets. The screened-in porch, located just off the living and dining rooms, is accessed through two large sliding glass doors and is furnished with comfortable outdoor seating and a dining set. From here, you’ll overlook the yard, volleyball court, and woods on three sides — a favorite spot to gather, read, or simply enjoy the view.

Inside, hardwood floors, antique wooden furnishings, Early American artwork, and a wrought-iron wood stove give the apartment a warm, inviting feel. Large glass doors and multiple windows throughout the space fill the home with natural light and keep you connected to the surrounding landscape.

Please note that The Loft, a separate vacation rental for two guests, is located upstairs. While other guests may be present during your stay, Kettlestone has its own private entrance and separate parking, ensuring your privacy.

Guests are welcome to enjoy the area immediately around the home, especially the yard space bordering both porches. The picnic table is for your exclusive use. We kindly ask that guests avoid spending time on the side of the house with the staircase leading to the Loft out of respect for everyone’s privacy.

A few things to note: we have free-range chickens on the property, so dogs should remain leashed until safely up on the porch. At this time, there is no outdoor fire pit.
